This open forum will be used to discuss critical issues that impact the dietetics profession at-large and will focus on the specific challenges faced by oncology dietitians. The HOD representative (Peter Adintori, MS, RD, CSO, CDN, CNSC) will share the aggregate themes of this meeting with the HOD leadership team to advocate for the needs of oncology dietitians. This is a safe space and attendance will be limited to those who have registered in advance for the meeting.

Peter is the house of delegates (HOD) representative for the ON DPG. Professionally, he is a full-time inpatient dietitian on the Leukemia and Myeloma Services at MSK and part-time PhD Student in Rehabilitation Sciences at NYU. Peter's clinical experience is in adult inpatient and outpatient care, in relief, critical care, oncology, and gastrointestinal disorder settings. He was recently a research dietitian for 5 years at MSK. His research centers on the role of nutrition, physical function, and mental health on clinical outcomes during treatment for blood cancers. He plans to integrate these findings with existing clinical relationships to better understand the supportive care needs of blood cancer patients and survivors. Peter is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at NYU where he has developed and taught an advanced clinical seminar in oncology nutrition and has taught courses in medical nutrition therapy and human (patho)physiology to graduate and undergraduate students. Lastly, Peter has been actively involved in the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (ON DPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Research Committee of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the Cancer Rehabilitation Research Outcomes Task Force for the American Congress on Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM). Peter plans to continue his career as a clinician-scientist focused on cancer rehabilitation research in comprehensive cancer centers.
