Congrats to Our Award Winners!

  

Winner of the 2020 Distinguished Practice Award: Jeannine B. Mills

 

Jeannine has worked as one of the outpatient oncology dietitians at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire for over 20 years. She serves on a national working committee (NACHOS) in promoting access to nutritional care for patients with cancer at centers within the US. Jeannine also helped to coordinate the first oncology section group within the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and serves on the leadership team for this special interest group. She is a member of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Review Board for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).

Winner of the 2020 Distinguished Service Award: Dr. Colleen Spees

 

Dr. Colleen Spees is an Associate Professor in the Division of Medical Dietetics at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine. In addition, she is an active member of OSU’s prestigious Comprehensive Cancer Center and holds academic appointments in both the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Science and the College of Education and Human Ecology. Dr. Spees is a co-author of the Wardlaw Contemporary Nutrition textbooks and teaches OSU's graduate-level Nutritional Genomics Course. She served on the American Cancer Society (ACS) Scientific Review Panel and is co-author for the ACS Guideline for Diet and Physical Activity for Cancer Prevention.
