The Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (ON DPG) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) is the professional organization representing medical nutrition professionals working in cancer treatment centers throughout the country. ON DPG sets the standard for excellence in oncology nutrition and is responsible for developing the Standards of Practice (SOP) as well as the Standards of Professional Performance (SOPP) for medical nutrition professionals in oncology. In 2008, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in conjunction with the ON DPG introduced the Certified Specialist Oncology(CSO) certification for dietitians practicing in oncology nutrition.

• Educational events and learning tools including the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment Video and DVD which were completed in conjunction with the ADA.
• An active Electronic Mailing List (EML) with over 500 subscribers
