What is a CSO?
The Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (ON DPG), a professional practice group within the American Dietetic Association, has worked with the Commission on Dietetic Registration to create a Board Certification credential for Registered Dietitians in Oncology Nutrition.
ON DPG envisions that the Board Certification in Oncology Nutrition credential will provide potential employers, oncology patients and caregivers with a tool to evaluate the expertise of the dietetics professional providing oncology nutrition services.
The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) offers Board Certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition. Board certification is granted in recognition of an applicant's documented practice experience and successful completion of an examination in the specialty area.
